how do i order a cake?

Glad you asked! You can order a cake either through our website or by calling or visiting the bakery.

We have a range of cakes that are available to order weekly for collection on Saturdays & Sundays.

can i order a custom cake?

Unfortunately at the moment we aren't able to take on any custom orders...hopefully one day soon!

​

In the meantime we have a selection of cakes available to order through our online shop:)

i just ordered a cake... what now?

You will receive a confirmation email from us confirming your order and collection date. Please review the details and make sure they are correct. If you have any issues please call us right away.

Then you can leave the rest up to us!

do you offer delivery?

Unfortunately we aren't able to offer delivery at this time.

how early should i order my cake?

Cake orders open 2 months in advance and orders close Sunday nights for the coming week. 

​

We recommend ordering as early as possible to avoid disappointment. We are only able to take a limited amount of cake orders per week so may not be able to accommodate last minute orders (but we promise we will try!)

do you cater for dietary restrictions?

While we would love to make cakes for everyone to enjoy we work in a VERY small kitchen space so we are unable to ensure there is no cross contamination.

If you have questions about a particular menu item please feel free to reach out and we will do our best to assist you!

what if i need to cancel my order?

We understand that things happen so we will do our best to accomodate any changes to your order.

 

We are happy to change your order date subject to availability, we do not however offer credit notes or gift vouchers for postponed events.

​

If you do need to cancel your order we are happy to provide a refund (minus a 5% admin fee) for orders cancelled at least 7 days prior to the collection date. Orders cancelled within 7 days will forfeit 50% of the order total.

 

We are not able to provide any refunds for orders with 3 days of the collection date.

the date i want to collect my cake is not on the website?

We only have limited availability for cake orders each week so once a date is booked we are unable to fulfil additional orders for those dates.

Cake orders are also only available for collection Saturday's & Sunday's each week. If you need a cake for another day please give us a call and we can try and recommend an alternative option for you.

can i make a booking?

Absolutely! we take bookings for the bakery and for devonshire tea everyday of the week (closed on Mondays) 

​

We also take bookings for high tea each weekend.

how do i book a high tea?

You can book high tea by giving us a call at the bakery or sending us an email at hello@theavenuebakingcompany.com

​

We take high tea bookings every weekend and have a minimum of 2 adults or 4 children per booking.

 

We also require a 50% deposit to secure your booking.

do you take group bookings for high tea?

We would love to chat to you about high tea for a larger group or event... we can accomodate groups of up to 16 for a seated high tea and up to 24 for a cocktail high tea.

 

Get in touch with your ideal date and number of guests and we walk you though some options.

do you cater for parties and events?

depending on dates and availability we would love to work with you... email us with with your event date and what you had in mind and we can see what cake magic we can dream up together!
